Ortonville

Ortonville received its name from founder Amos Orton whose grist mill inspired people to settle and build in this area. Ortonville is a village one square mile in size that is known as the downtown for Brandon Township.

One of Brandon School District’s elementary facilities is located in the Village. Brandon Middle School and Brandon High School, awarded The Blue Ribbon Exemplary School Award for Excellence, are both short walks from downtown.

The Brandon Library, a state-of-the-art library, is housed in the Village. Four park areas, two churches, the Old Mill Museum, the Mann School, the Edna Burton Senior Center, the Old Town Hall and numerous little league fields are also located in the Village.

So, whether you are just passing through, looking to make Ortonville your home, coming here to shop or searching for a home for your business, Welcome to the Village of Ortonville.
